I have always had a house full of dogs, cats and more. I moved to Bluemont, Virginia in 1988 and became a farmer of sheep, cows, chickens, and a Pot Bellied Pig named Peaches. Retired from the US Postal Service, I now drive a school bus for Loudoun County, and help at the Bluemont Store on weekends, along with walking dogs for Walking Wetnoses where I have been caring for pets for three years. I have a particular weakness for elderly pets and experience caring for pets with special needs. I love reading, caring for animals, and eating chocolate!!
I have always had 4-legged friends in my life, starting at age 9 with a gorgeous lab- my protector, mentor and buddy. Then, came our faithful big girl Weimaraner, Pepper, who even came with us on our honeymoon! She lived to the ripe old age of 15 1/2. Pepper flew to the U.S with us and enjoyed a few good years soaking up the US doggy culture. Walking dogs for Walking Wetnoses came at the perfect time for me. Our busy life with two daughters and traveling back and forth to the UK, doesn’t allow us to have a furry friend at the moment. So, spending time walking dogs for Walking Wetnoses is perfect for me. THANK YOU for giving me the privilege of enjoying that special time with your lovely furry friends!
I have been working with Walking Wetnoses since 2014, and currently provide evening and weekend services in addition to working a full-time job in DC. I am handler and momma to Thor, a German Shepherd. Together we train in Schutzhund, a German obedience, tracking and protection sport. We have accomplished the Canine Good Citizen Certificate with the American Kennel Club, and a Begleithund (BH) Schultzhund Title. I have had dogs and animals her entire life, and LOVE being around them!
A walker for Walking Wetnoses since 2015, I have two wonderful dogs, Bella, a collie mix, and Buddy, a 3-legged pit bull. I have had pets all throughout my life and have a special place in my heart for pets with special needs. I grew up in Colorado then moved to Virginia almost 30 years ago. I worked as a dental assistant and office manager for over 25 years, and really enjoy spending time outside with all of my furry clients. I love meeting your sweet animals along the way, and receiving (and giving) them TONS of kisses and LOVE!
I have walked dogs for Walking Wetnoses since March 2016 and am a mom of four almost-grown kids and two very energetic labs named Cooper and Lucy. Originally from Fairfield County, Connecticut, I have called Leesburg, Virginia home since 2011. I love spending time outdoors gardening, hiking with my dogs, vacationing at the beach or mountains and, of course, dog walking for the wonderful clients of Walking Wetnoses!
I am a mom of two human kids and one furry kid named Sooki. I moved to Leesburg 13 years ago by way of Washington, DC. Having a busy family life makes it tough to have another dog, so walking dogs for Walking Wetnoses for the last year has been the perfect opportunity to be around more sweet pups. I enjoy being outside with doggies and giving them a ton of love and attention, always treating them like they are my own.
Animals have always held a special place in my heart, and throughout my life I’ve raised 3 dogs, a gecko, a box turtle, a hamster and various creepy-crawlies. This love for my creature kin has moved me to personal ventures in wildlife rehabilitation, a vegan diet, and dog walking for Walking WETNOSES! As a resident of Leesburg for 13 years, I know the ins and outs of the town like the creases of my palms. I look forward to taking your pups on an adventure!
My mother devoted the final 20 years of her life to volunteering at the SPCA. It was she who showed me the joy and happiness pets can bring. I have always been graced with the companionship of pets. From shelter adoptees to strays to a Burmese cat family that lived with me their entire lives. From my big childhood Airedale, Duffy, to my tiny Chihuahua mix, Gennie, who is part of my family today. From the Seal-point Siamese cats my grandmother bred to the Lynx-point Siamese that snuggle with us today. I have been blessed with many feline and canine four-legged friends, and I can’t imagine not having pets in my family. I would love the opportunity to share my love with your precious companions.
Retired from a career in politics and public relations, I have been an animal lover all my life and have been a companion to many. My current furry family consists of two dogs, a cat, two horses and six chickens! I joined Walking Wetnoses in 2014 and very much enjoy caring for the beloved dogs/animals of Walking Wetnoses, in addition to coaching my riding students, and competing in horse shows.
Growing up my family owned fish and a guinea pig. Luckily, Brady, an adorable Brittany Spaniel, was introduced to my family four years ago and we have been inseparable since. When I’m not studying or walking dogs, I enjoy traveling, hiking, and riding my bike. From dogs to geckos, I have enjoyed caring for your pets throughout my work with Walking Wet Noses!
Like my dad always said, “If you’re not having fun, you’re not doing it right.” I am so lucky that I have fun every day that I am walking dogs for Walking Wetnoses! I am a single mom to my human son and my furry daughter. I love them both endlessly……..they are my life! My first dog walking job was at age 10 – Skippy the beagle. I did multiple walks and vacation visits for Skippy which started me on a lifelong career of pet sitting and dog walking. I loved it then, and still love it today, especially knowing that I can make doggies and their parents happy. I have been walking for Walking Wetnoses since 2013, and I always abide by your house rules. Special needs, rescues and older pets always have a special place in my heart. I am also Pet First Aid certified.
I have been a dog lover my entire life. Now that my human children are in high school and moving on, I am rebuilding my career around my love of dogs. Last summer through Pat Miller’s intensive program at Peaceable Paws, I became a certified dog trainer. I started walking dogs for Walking Wet Noses in February 2017 in addition to starting my own dog training business – Sugar Dog Training. My current dog is an adorable miniature Aussiedoodle, Roxy, who is an obsessive frisbee catcher and “circus” trick performer. I am a native to Northern Virginia and have lived in the town of Leesburg since 2010.
